CLINICIAN SCIENTIST ACADEMIC ANESTHESIOLOGIST

The Department of Anesthesiology & Perioperative Medicine at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, is accepting applications for a Clinician Scientist academic anesthesiologist position. Candidates must possess a Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada fellowship or equivalent, including a clinical fellowship in peri-operative medicine, and a Ph. D. in research related to peri-operative medicine. Candidates must also be eligible for licensure with College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. The position would consist of a mix of clinical anesthesiology, teaching and a heavy emphasis on research.
The successful candidate will have an excellent track record of high- quality research output and will exhibit strong potential for innovative and scholarly research. The candidate will display evidence of being able to lead independent research. Protected time and appropriate resources are available to those who establish a significant research program. Applicants must demonstrate strong potential for outstanding teaching contributions as well as evidence of an ability to work in an interdisciplinary, collaborative environment. Referees who can attest to the applicant’s expertise are required.
