ACADEMIC ANESTHESIOLOGISTS

The Department of Anesthesiology & Perioperative Medicine of Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada is accepting applications for academic clinical anesthesiologists.  Candidates should possess a Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada fellowship or equivalent, with additional clinical or research fellowship training. Candidates must also be eligible for licensure with College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. The position would consist of a mix of clinical anesthesiology, teaching and research.

Preference will be given to applicants who have a strong track record or exhibit strong potential for innovative and scholarly research. Protected time and appropriate resources are available to those who establish a significant research program. Applicants must demonstrate strong potential for outstanding teaching contributions as well as evidence of an ability to work in an interdisciplinary, collaborative environment. Referees who can attest to the applicant’s expertise are required.

Queen’s is strategically located between Montreal, Toronto, and Ottawa, in historic Kingston, Ontario, on the shores of Lake Ontario.  It offers excellent lifestyle opportunities and a strong academic environment.  Remuneration is competitive within a unique alternate funding plan.  The work schedule is flexible, with a large pool of members sharing in the call schedule.

academic Pediatric Anesthesiologists

Candidates must also be eligible for licensure with College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. The position would consist of a mix of clinical anesthesiology, teaching and research.

The successful candidate will have an excellent track record of high quality research output or exhibit strong potential for innovative and scholarly research. The candidate will display evidence of being able to lead an Echocardiography research lab. Protected time and appropriate resources are available to those who establish a significant research program. Applicants must demonstrate strong potential for outstanding teaching contributions as well as evidence of an ability to work in an interdisciplinary, collaborative environment.
